Day 1

Today is day 1 of B.L.O.G. which stands for Bruce Lives on Globe. We are broadcasting today from Bangkok which is where the story shall begin and after spending around 6 months here I am finally starting to figure things out. I will have a reoccurring segment called "Amazing Thailand" which is the slogan for the tourist board but applies to so much more ... Many of the observations I will make may be confused for ridicule but I assure you I mean only to add a little humor to the land of smiles, many things they do make me smile-

For example, I went to get my Thai driver's license and had to pass a physical. At the tender age of 48 I had little concern except for those chest pains and abdominal distress; however, I was relieved to be told I was in perfect health after presenting a 50 baht note to the attending physician.
